Answers to Frequently asked
Questions |
|
| 2) I need to find
out about my Indian Blood, where do I start? |
It
really depends on how much information you have and whether or not
you are a California descendant. The best answer I could give
you is to contact the Bureau of Indian Affairs office that handles
your tribes specific area and ask them for a CDIB (Certificate
Degree of Indian Blood). Before you call however you will want
to have some information available. 1) complete names of
yourself, parents, and grandparents; 2) tribal affiliation of known
Native person; 3) Any other documentation you may have available
(birth / death certificates, California Roll number from the 1958 or
1972 payment schedule)
