Frequently Asked Questions

4) Is there someone that can entertain my 3rd/4th grade students by telling stories or dancing?

I would caution you that we have presenters that would be interested in teaching children about our cultures, but it would not be for entertainment purposes.

We have college students that are willing to:
1) read stories or tell stories
2) sing traditional songs
3) demonstrate and discuss local basketry or regalia
4) present information on the California Gold Rush or the California Missions

We try to do our best to have presenters that are professional, accurate, and good with kids.

Give us a call (826-5199) or email us at mmj5@humboldt.edu and we will try to arrange to get a student into your classroom for a 45 minute presentation or longer depending on your needs.
