HSU Projects in Progress

Campus Signage and Wayfinding -- This project will develop a comprehensive way finding and signage program from HSU's borders, throughout the campus, and the building interiors. The program will integrate the variety of building types and architecture into a more unified whole, and incorporate HSU's institutional identity to refresh and enhance the look and function of the physical campus.

College Creek Student Housing -- This project will build new apartments to house 434 students, as well as construct a student community center, all-weather soccer field, and a small support and maintenance building.

Physical Education Project -- This project will upgrade and improve, or replace, the East Gym, West Gym, Natatorium, Human Performance & Biomechanics Laboratories, and related classroom, office, and support space in Forbes Complex to achieve its academic mission and recruitment and retention goals.

Schatz Energy Research Center-- The Schatz Energy Research Center has donated approximately $3M to construct a new research facility.  The new research center, located atop Cluster Court to the west of the BSS Building, will contain two indoor laboratories, one exterior laboratory, machine shop, conference/demonstration room and offices for both staff and graduate students.

UC Quad Pedestrian Safety Project-- This project will increase the safety of the University Center Quad by limiting unauthorized vehicular traffic with strategically placed bollards and planters. Using 2005/06 Minor Capital Funds, the project will cost around $63,000.
