Director's Office

The Director's Office oversees the activities of all departments of Financial Services and is responsible for the financial accounting and reporting of all state funds and activities. Other responsibilities include strategic planning; development, implementation, and coordination of new fiscal, accounting, and administrative processes and applications; management and financial audits; and delivery of financial services and support to students, faculty, and staff in an effective, efficient, and responsive manner.

General Accounting

General Accounting comprises of accounting and accounts payable staff and is responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions including bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, remittance to the State Controller's Office, expenditure transfers, cash management, agency trust fund accounts, interagency agreements, accounting for instructionally related activities and reimbursed activities.

Financial Analysis and Reporting Unit

Financial Analysis and Reporting Unit is responsible for external and internal financial reporting, audit support, periodic internal assessments and reporting of financial condition and chart of accounts maintenance.

Asset Management

Asset Management tracks, manages, and reports on the university's capitalized assets. Tracking activities include tagging newly-acquired property, conducting annual physical inventories, and maintaining a property database. The office also capitalizes improvements to existing campus buildings and land, manages University storage spaces, and disposes of surplus assets.

Student Financial Services

Student Financial Services is the central location for cashiering and financial aid account services to students.

Cashiering services include the receipt and deposit of all funds received on behalf of the University. Activities include assisting students with the registration process as well as providing the campus community with information related to payment and refund deadlines and procedures. Other responsibilities include distribution of payroll warrants and sale of parking permits.

Financial aid accounting services include the disbursement of all financial aid and short-term loans awarded by the University. In addition, the department oversees the Perkins Loan program. Student Financial Services also has collection responsibility for the University's accounts receivable.
