Accounting has announced that November 2008 (FY 2008, Accounting Period 5) is now officially closed in PS Finance. This means that no further entries will be posted to this period, and it is now stable for reporting purposes.
Accounting has announced that October 2008 (FY 2008, Accounting Period 4) is now officially closed in PS Finance. This means that no further entries will be posted to this period, and it is now stable for reporting purposes.
Accounting has announced that September 2008 (FY 2008, Accounting Period 3) is now officially closed in PS Finance. This means that no further entries will be posted to this period, and it is now stable for reporting purposes.
Accounting has announced that August 2008 (FY 2008, Accounting Period 2) is now officially closed in PS Finance. This means that no further entries will be posted to this period, and it is now stable for reporting purposes.

Accounting has announced that June 2008 (FY 2007, Accounting Period 12) is now officially closed in PS Finance. This means that no further entries will be posted to this period, and it is now stable for reporting purposes.
I would also like to announce that the 07-08 Fiscal Year has been closed and ledger balances have been submitted to the Chancellor’s Office. No further entries will be posted to the prior year. This includes actual expense & encumbrances.
Accounting has announced that April 2008 (FY 2007, Accounting Period 10) is now officially closed in PS Finance. This means that no further entries will be posted to this period, and it is now stable for reporting purposes.
In an effort to consolidate reporting solutions before the 9.0 upgrade, Financial Services and Technical Services will begin limiting access to the Query Viewer tool in PeopleSoft Finance. Beginning this week, we will be modifying security in PS Finance so that only Subject Matter Experts and core users in the Financial Services area will be able to run queries using Query Viewer. Departmental end users, whose reporting needs are already being met by delivered reports in the application and data warehouse, will no longer be able to run queries.
Decreasing our use of the Query Viewer tool in PS Finance will allow us to eliminate hundreds of seldom used queries. In addition, by moving our reporting solutions to the data warehouse, we can improve the overall performance of the system. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Technical Services.
