What is Form 1098-T?

IRS Form 1098-T (Tuition Payments Statement) provides information from educational institutions to students which may be of use in determining a student's eligibility for these tax credits and the extent of the credit claimed. Humboldt State University provides Forms 1098-T to its students through a third-party contractor, ECSI. The forms are mailed to students by January 31 following the tax year.
