Project Outcomes
1. A set of student learning outcomes in the Geography Department that include the skills of information competence 2. Syllabi for required courses in the Department identifying assignments that promote information competence. 3. Representative assignments from Geography courses asking students to demonstrate various skills in information competence. 4. Assessment instruments that certify students have met competence requirements 5. Other Outcomes: The department used the grant opportunity to go beyond the required deliverables and develop a number of other useful resources aimed at improving information competence specifically among geography students. We are currently working on department-wide assessment instruments that will include measurement of information competence skills acquired in the geography program. |
