HISTORY DEPARTMENT RESOURCES
The History department currently has three collections of slides that are available for use from within the department. Below there are links to each collection, as well as subject sub-category links within each collection with brief descriptions of each slide available within the sub-categories. The slides themselves are available in the department office (Founders Hall 180) for preliminary viewing. With each slide collection there is a users guide that has more detailed information on each slide, and in many cases have who the artist or producer of the slide is (was).
STIPULATIONS FOR STUDENT USE:
If a student would like to view or use the slide collection for any purpose they MUST request permission from their advisor AND have it cleared by someone in the department office. The purpose of this is not to restrict the use of the collections, but so that the collection will stay intact for future use and as a courtesy to the staff in the department office. For any questions contact the History department office at 826-3641.
Click on the links below to preview subjects within the collections. Also available in the department office are other sources such as a videodisc and CD-Rom of World History, as well as a National Geographic collection of CDs, divided by decade (1900-1990). There is not a users' guide for these last two sources, but they are available for use.
