The scholastic life can get hectic. Between classes, meetings, study sessions and trips to the library, you have to somehow find time to eat, run errands and attend to life's necessities. We offer the Convenience Card to make life a little easier. Your HSU student, faculty, or staff ID card can pull double duty as your C-Card.
All you have to do is make the initial deposit and activate your ID card to serve as a debit account. Your card can be used for purchases at any participating campus location. Deposits are easily made by phone, in person at the Housing and Dining Office or the HSU Bookstore, by mail, or online. Read more about C-Card at c-card.humboldt.edu.
The C-Card can be used to purchase food, textbooks, clothing, event tickets, supplies, on campus vending and laundry and more without having to carry cash. Once you activate your C-Card account, all purchases made with the C-Card will be automatically deducted from your account balance. To check your current balance, simply ask at any participating location or visit your account online.
The C-Card eliminates the need for you to carry cash on campus. Your card is valid at all participating locations, and during summer and winter breaks. Any remaining balance at the end of each semester automatically rolls over to the following semester.
There are no fees to activate or use the C-Card.
If the card is ever lost or stolen, report it to the Housing and Dining Cashier, the HSU Bookstore or online; the card will be immediately deactivated and the remaining account balance will be guaranteed.
The C-Card helps students and parents budget campus expenses.
HSU Dining Services offers a 5% discount when using your C-Card at the Depot, Windows Café, South Campus Marketplace, The J and the Giant's Cupboard.
C-Card deposits can be made in person, by mail, by phone, or online at the c-card website.
If you've lost your HSU ID Card you can deactivate your J Points and C-Card Accounts online. Don't forget to reactivate them with the Housing Cashier when you get a new card.
