Twice a semester, the Women's Resource Center sponsors the publication of a feminist magazine called The Matrix. This publication serves as a forum for the expression of feminist ideas, and contains poetry, fiction, news, politics and art. The Matrix has been recognized as one of the top college publications by The Nation magazine, and has loyal readers all over the country. Students have the option of earning one unit of credit by working on The Matrix staff, just enroll in Women's Studies 480: Matrix Production. But even if you aren't a student, everyone is welcome to contribute writing or artwork. The Matrix can be found in the Women's Resource Center and at various locations on campus and in the community. Non-Arcata residents can get a free subscription by emailing matrix@humboldt.edu.
