European Studies

The European Studies concentration (with emphasis in French, German, and/or Spanish) provides students with the language and cultural skills necessary to study and work in areas pertaining to European history, politics, culture, and economy. Coursework in the program allows students to explore and select a focus suited to their needs, while the emphasis on language acquisition and time spent abroad gives students direct experience with the cultures and societies of Europe. In consultation with their advisor, students may develop a focus within European Studies other than the three areas mentioned above.

For a complete description of the requirements for this concentration and relevant courses, see International Studies in the HSU Catalog.
