HSU Network Folders
HSU offers central file storage for all current students, staff and faculty accessible from on or off campus. Learn how to connect.
If you often use computers from multiple locations (such as computer labs and offices), your HSU Network Folder is a great way for you to move and store files. You can use your Network Folder space to store HSU-related files so that they are accessible to you from any computer connected to the Internet.
How do I get access to my Network Folder?
If you are a current student, staff, or faculty member you already have access to your Network Folder. Your Network Folder is accessed with your HSU User Name, the same user name you use for e-mail and to log in at a computer lab. Your Network Folder will be available to you for as long as you are with the University.

What's stored there?
Your files:
The space is available for you to store your HSU-related files. Since you will be able to reach these files from home, the office, and computer labs, this is a convenient location for your HSU files.
Your web page files:
You may also notice that there is a "public_html" folder. Your HSU web page files will reside in this folder. Beginning Fall 2008 these files will be able to be viewed at your new web address, http://users.humboldt.edu/HSUUserName.
Faculty Shared Folder:
Faculty can store files they want to share with their students (or other faculty) in the Faculty Shared Folder. Students can access these files from anywhere with an Internet connection. Learn how to use the Faculty Shared Folder.
How much space do I have?
The amount of space (or quota) you have in your HSU Network Folder is determined by your position at HSU.
| General | CNRS | |
|---|---|---|
| Students | 100 MB | 500 MB (1/2 GB) |
