5.3 - Land Use

The County Should:

Orient trails establishment towards utilization of public lands and roadways and avoid trail routing on private lands unless owner approval and user need justifies.

Blend trails into the natural environment and use construction standards and techniques which minimize environmental impacts.

Prohibit the use of motorized vehicles on designated off-road bicycle, hiking, and equestrian trails except where required for construction, maintenance, and enforcement purposes unless otherwise specified.

Prohibit fires and camping on all trails within county jurisdiction unless otherwise specified.

Prohibit dogs on all trails near grazing lands unless otherwise specified.
