Personal Identification Number (PIN)
A student's PIN is six numeric digits. If a student
is currently receiving financial aid, this is the same PIN used to access
the financial aid telephone information system. Until a PIN is changed,
the first two digits are the month of birth, and the remaining four
are the year of birth.
| Examples: |
February 15, 1989 PIN 021989 |
|
October 31, 1977 PIN 101977 |
To protect the confidentiality of student records, web registration requires the PIN to be changed immediately! Knowledge of HSU-ID Number and PIN allows access to grades, schedule, and financial aid information, so these numbers should be kept safe and secure. To change PIN, call the Help Desk at 707-826-4357, or go through the Humboldt State website. Enter the WebReg link under Quick Links, and in the “User Log-in” page, click on the “Forgot PIN?” link and follow the directions. Students should select six numbers that can be easily remembered.
