Shiite Revivalism: The War on Shiites in Lebanon and Iran - Tuesday, September 26, 2006, 7-9pm. Founders Hall 118. A discussion regarding Shi'ite revivalism and militant resistance to Israeli and U.S. foreign policies, including this past summer's war in Lebanon and the growing crisis between the U.S. and Iran. Speakers: Saeed Mortazavi (School of Business) and William Herbrechtsmier (Religious Studies).
