SPATIAL ANALYSIS LAB

Welcome to the SA-Lab (Forestry 203)

The HSU Spatial Analysis Lab (SA-Lab) located in the Forestry Building room 203 is home of geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing teaching facilities at Humboldt State University. The SA-Lab is utilized primarily in support of teaching and lab activities associated with courses in GIS and remote sensing. Students gain hands-on experience in applying GIS and remote sensing technologies as tools for managing, evaluating, analyzing and visualizing spatial data.

The lab is available to HSU students for special projects (senior projects and graduate theses) incorporating geospatial analysis techniques via enrollment in one unit of NRPI 471, SA-Lab Project. Please contact Dr. Steven Steinberg during the registration period each semester for information on enrollment eligibility and to obtain a magic number.
