TNS Order Backlog
Telecommunications and Network Services is currently inundated with work associated with construction projects, remodels, office moves, and projects mandated by the Chancellor's Office. Construction/remodeling projects including PEP2, HGH, Library 218, Gist 114 and 124, the new computer lab in the library, expansion of server space in the Data Center and the re-cabling of Gist and Wildlife all need to be completed by the start of Fall Term. Additionally, there will be many office moves resulting from those projects and we must support the day to day trouble tickets that arise.
These projects are expected to consume our staff through the summer and well into the new semester. TNS will attempt to schedule a small number of high priority work orders, pre-fields, move/add/changes, projects each week in addition to the larger projects, but please review your needs carefully. We will make every attempt to catch up on lower priority requests as quickly as possible once this "rush period" is over.
