New AVP for Retention & Inclusive Student Success

We are pleased to announce that Jacque Honda has agreed to be AVP for Retention & Inclusive Student Success.  She will lead our efforts to improve inclusive student success and will oversee a restructuring of co-curricular and academic support units such as the Learning Center, Career and Advising, EOP, the Multicultural Center, Native American support programs, freshmen mentoring and implementation of the new early alert system together to better serve our students.

Jacque, who currently leads the Office of Institutional Research & Planning, has an extensive background in institutional research, with much of her career focused on inclusive student success and has been on the faculty at the University of Hawaii.  She has the skills to work effectively with both faculty and staff to help improve our retention and graduation rates, particularly for traditionally under-served students.  The Office of Institutional Research & Planning will continue to report to her in her new role.
