Directions to campus locations

Program check-in (Sat. and Sun.) will be held at the Gist Hall main entrance (north side, Laurel Drive).

The Orientation Meeting (Sun.) will be held in the Gist Hall Theatre, which is adjacent to check-in.

Other buildings being used for workshops include the Child Development Lab and the Kinesiology Building.

 

Directions (by car) to HSU

Traveling Northbound on US 101:

Once in Arcata, take the 14th Street/Humboldt State University exit. As you exit the freeway, get into the right lane of the off-ramp. At the stop sign, turn right onto 14th Street. At the next stop sign, turn left, onto B Street; you will now be on the HSU campus. Follow B Street through the next two stop signs. Gist Hall will be on the left as you approach the third stop sign, at Laurel Drive.*

If parking is not available on the streets (Laurel or B), park in the large lot between Gist Hall and the Student & Business Services building. Enter this lot from Harpst and then Rossow streets. (Note: On weekdays from 7 a.m.-5 p.m., this lot is restricted to HSU Staff only.)

Traveling Southbound on US 101:

Once in Arcata, take the Sunset Ave./Humboldt State University exit. Turn left at the stop sign; cross over the freeway. Turn right at the next stop sign, to head south on “LK Wood Blvd” which runs parallel to US 101. Turn left at the next stop sign, onto 14th Street. At the next stop sign, turn left, onto B Street; you will now be on the HSU campus. Follow B Street through the next three stop signs. Gist Hall will be on the left as you approach the third stop sign, at Laurel Drive. *

*If you won't be arriving in time for check-in/orientation on Saturday or Sunday:

You may check in for the workshops at the College of eLearning & Extended Education in the Student & Business Services (SBS) building, suite 211 (second floor), M-F, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. See the campus map for directions to the SBS building.


PARKING ON CAMPUS

During the week, an HSU parking permit is required, which can be purchased at the Parking Services building on Rossow Street or at the University Cashier (Student & Business Services, 2nd floor) for $3.50 per day or $10.50 for a week-long permit. Permits are not required on Saturdays or Sundays.

(for participants staying on campus/Redwood Coast Conference Center)

Traveling Northbound on US 101:

Once in Arcata, take the 14th Street/Humboldt State University exit. As you exit the freeway, get into the left lane of the off-ramp. After the stop sign, continue northbound onto L.K. Wood Blvd., which runs parallel to US 101. Continue on L.K. Wood Blvd., and after the next stop sign, turn right at the next street, Granite Ave. As you drive down Granite Ave., there will be a very large parking lot on your right. The Jolly Giant Commons is the large, grey, 4-story building at the end of the parking lot. You’ll find the Summer Conference Center (SCC) Information Desk on the first floor (ground level) of this building.

Traveling Southbound on US 101:
