ACADEMIC CREDIT Optional academic credit in music and/or theatre arts is available for $50 per unit.
You may earn one unit of credit for each 15 hours of class participation. The maximum amount of credit that can be earned is 3 units, based on full participation throughout the week-long program. Be sure to initial the sign-in roster for each class you attend each day in order to document your participation.
Please note that credit is awarded on a Credit/No Credit basis rather than a letter grade. Credit can be earned in both Dance and Music (for percussion and song).
You may register for 1 to 2 units in DANC 480 and 1 to 2 units in either MUS 180 or MUS x485.
For example, for a total of 3 units, you could choose to have 1 unit DANC 480 and 2 units MUS 180, or 2 units DANC 480 and 1 unit MUS x485, etc. The “x” in front of the course number means the course is approved for Extension academic credit intended primarily for electives or professional development purposes.
Units of credit may be pro-rated according to attendance as verified from the sign-in rosters. For example, if you registered for 3 units and had intended to participate the entire week, but missed a day or several classes throughout the week, you may be awarded two units, even though you paid for three units. No refunds are allowed when units are prorated.
If you need help determining how much credit you may earn depending on your plans, contact
in the College of eLearning & Extended Education (707-826-3732).
