Research
My research interests are South Asian Islam and post-colonial Australia and I have conducted fieldwork in Sri Lanka and Australia. I am currently engaged in research on European settlement patterns in Central Australia and the history of relations between Aboriginal and white Australians focused on issues of displacement, sovereignty, autonomy and changing conceptions of community.
