Research

My research interests within anthropology are broad and cross-disciplinary, as I am interested in inter-relationships between behavior, ecology and morphology. Current areas of particular interest are evolutionary medicine (nutrition, longevity, the evolution of disease), sensory ecology, the evolution of communication, comparative anatomy and bioarchaeology. I am also currently the Director of HSU's Costa Rica Primate Field School and Co-Director of the Poland Medieval Bioarchaeology Field School.
