Danco Builders Scholarship for students in Applied Technology/Construction Management

The DANCO BUILDERS Scholarship is available to support the education of undergraduates pursuing a major in Industrial Technology with a concentration in Construction Management.

Number and Amount of Scholarships:

One $1,500 award to help meet the cost of attendance at Humboldt State University, payable in equal allocations for fall and spring terms.

Qualifications:

Eligible candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Must have applied to, be enrolled in or accepted for admission as a full-time student (minimum of 12 semester units) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology with a concentration in Construction Management. Must be enrolled full-time and must maintain satisfactory academic progress during year of award.
  • Eligible applicants include continuing students in academic good standing, transfer students and adult re-entry students who will be in their sophomore, junior or senior year during the year of the award.
  • Must have minimum cumulative college grade point average of 3.0.
  • Scholarship does not require financial need, but preference will be given to students with need according to completed FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) application, indicating Humboldt State University.
  • Preference will be given to students who demonstrate extracurricular or school activities, achievement, initiative, leadership, work ethic, honors/awards, employment experience, volunteer hobbies or other interests.

Restrictions:

  • There shall be a limit of two annual awards to any individual student.
  • The scholarship will not be awarded if no candidates meet criteria.

Application procedure:

Applicants should demonstrate their qualifications by submitting the following:

  • Completion of DANCO BUILDERS Scholarship application form (or a hard copy may be obtained at the department office, Jenkins Hall 206C).
  • One letter of recommendation from a teacher, work supervisor, or other non-related person qualified to recommend candidate on basis of his/her qualifications for scholarship.
