Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI)

What?

The ATI is an initiative from the Chancellor's Office to make HSU's information technology accessible to all students, faculty, staff and the general public regardless of disability. There are three major priorities: Web Accessibility, Instructional Materials, and Procurement.

Who?

The ATI affects you if you teach, design or manage web sites, or purchase electronic or information technology. There is a steering committee and various sub-committees coordinating the project at HSU.

Why?

It's the right thing to do, it's the law, and it makes accessing HSU's information easier for everyone. Hear some CSU students explain what accessbile content means to them, and see faculty responses.

How?

The steering committee is developing online trainings and face-to-face workshops to help you make your content accessible. There are also many online resources.

When?

The Chancellor's Office has established timelines for each of the three priorities.
