Commencement

Commencement Ceremonies are held once a year, in May (at the end of the Spring Semester). All students graduating during the academic year (beginning summer) will receive information regarding commencement by mail in early March. You do not need to be enrolled during the term you walk in graduation ceremonies (for example, if you finished your requirements in fall semester, you do not need to enroll in spring just to participate in the ceremonies).

It is possible, under certain conditions, to participate in the Commencement Ceremonies, without having completed all your requirements. You will need to check with the Office of Admissions and Records (SBS 133) for details. Your Commencement Fee is normally paid when you file your Application for Graduation. Graduation Announcements are available from the HSU Bookstore beginning Spring semester. Baccalaureate Caps and Gowns for the Commencement Ceremonies are available at the HSU Bookstore during Final Exams Week in Spring semester.
