Faculty Development Committee

Mission and Vision

The mission of the Faculty Development Committee is to support faculty success and promote teaching and learning excellence.

We hope to create spaces and opportunities where campus educators can engage as unapologetic learners to meet student needs as well as their own.

Duties

Recommends the person to be the Faculty Development Coordinator who is then appointed by the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Advises and assists the Coordinator and/or others in matters of faculty development.

Once per month (minimum)

Membership

Two representatives from each College (at least one senior faculty member from each College preferred), one representative who has served as Faculty Development Coordinator, and one representative from the University Library appointed by the Senate Appointments Committee. Terms are two-year, staggered.

Vice Provost of Academic Programs and Undergraduate Eduation, Dean for Research and Graduate Studies, Faculty Development Coordinator
