One goal of the HSU Diversity Action Plan is to: “Increase the proportion of students of color, and other underrepresented groups, to levels that are in closer alignment with the population of CSU eligible California high school graduates.”

Diversity of Current HSU Student Body:
*Over 6% is over the age of 40.
*16.9% are from out of state and 1.3% are foreign students. Out of the California students, only 30.7% are from the North Coast / Northern California area.
*54% female and 46% male.
*One out of five is non-white (4% Asian American, 3.4% Black, 10.6% Hispanic, 2.3% Native American, 0.5% Pacific Islander).
