The NAUI SCUBA Diver Course is a five week program of in- struction in the safe use of SCUBA equipment and water skills. The class consists of Saturday classroom lectures at the Alpha Training Group facility in Fairhaven, and Monday night pool sessions at the Arcata Community Pool. The course concludes with an open water dive in Mendocino over a weekend. Students will be required to provide a set of personal dive equipment and wetsuit for the open water portion of the course. Student equipment requirements are discussed in detail during the lecture seminar. All participants must fill out a medical evaluation prior to course. Evaluations are available at the Arcata Community Pool front desk.
Current or less than 1 year expired NREMT candidates who wish to maintain national certification can also take this course for the "Transition" updated curriculum. Learn to make chocolate truffles the easy way from a professional Chocolatier. Sandra Nakashima, founder and co-owner of Drakes Glen Creations will show you how to make artisan truffles that will amaze your friends and family. You will learn how to: make truffle ganache, temper chocolate, and learn to make rolled, dipped, and molded truffles. You will leave the class with recipes, one mold and the chocolate truffles you have made in class (more than a $50 Value). This is a fun class and no previous cooking skills are needed. This course is designed to teach paddlers how to navigate in current, read and handle tidal rips and related rough water conditions.

These classes are one-hour long, medium intensity aerobic workouts. Tuesday and Thursday mornings class is held in the deep end area and all other classes are held in the four-foot lap lanes.
This class is designed for expectant mothers and new mothers who would like to begin or continue an exercise routine.
