The Private Pilot Ground School class will provide the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the Federal Aviation Administration written examination for a Private Pilot certificate. This is a beginner’s class and no prior knowledge or skill is required. This class will cover aerodynamics, instruments, navigation communications, weather, performance charts, flight operations and other subjects required by the FAA as a foundation for all aspiring pilots. Books and materials will be discussed and may be purchased at the first class meeting. Please bring a highlighter and simple math calculator to class.

This one day seminar will cover a variety of topics associated with all-grain brewing including some advanced techniques. The instructor will demonstrate the brewing process on a 1 barrel pub-style brew system. Some of the topics to be discussed will include sanitation/closed-system operations, an overview of brewhouse equipment, carbohydrate and protein conversion temperatures, bitterness/flavor/aroma extraction from hops, yeast management, and many others. The students will benefit from a hands-on style presentation where they will experience the brewing process first hand while discussing related topics.
This course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to recognize and eliminate common aquatic hazards, accidents and injuries. Participants must be at least 15 years of age and have excellent swim skills. Includes training and certification in Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
