Center Activities has over twenty years of experience providing the campus and local community with opportunities to enjoy the outdoors while developing outdoor leadership and teaching skills. The outdoor adventures program offers a variety of outdoor recreational activities including backpacking, rock climbing, adventure photography, and many skill seminars.
Our outings provide recreation and instruction with a diverse group of experienced instructors. Our friendly staff can help you learn proper outdoor skills in a variety of environments. Trip logistics such as location, transportation, equipment, instruction and guides are all organized through the Outdoor Adventures Program. We can make getting away for a weekend or during a break an easy and enjoyable experience. Bring a friend or meet new friends. You’ll never know the fun, challenge and excitement you may be missing until you take that first memorable step with Outdoor Adventures.
Mandatory Pre-Trip Meetings: All of the Outdoor Adventures programs have a mandatory pre-trip meeting. The pre-trip meeting is an important part of the trip as it allows opportunity to meet other students as well as meet the instructors. The meeting will cover trip logistics, meal planning (backpacking) and cover equipment needs. Essential instructional information will also be discussed in order to prepare you and get you excited for your adventure.
Please double check that you will be able to attend the pre-trip meeting prior to signing up for course, as they serve as pre-requisites for the outdoor course itself.
Transportation: Participants will need to provide their own transportation for all Outdoor Adventure courses. By carpooling, it helps keep the cost of these trips down. Transportation logistics, including carpool arrangements are the responsibility of the participants and will be arranged at the pre-trip meeting.
