Native American Forum

DESCRIPTION:

The Native American Forum located at Humboldt State University is a unique space with auditorium style seating and fold up desktops able to accommodate a maximum of 128 people. The space is utilized for a multitude of events, speakers, gatherings and meetings both large and small. This space is managed by the Center for Indian Community Development (CICD).

RESERVATIONS:

Reservations are made through the Center for Indian Community Development at Humboldt State University. To make your reservation please first check the Native American Forum Calendar for availability. If your desired date is available please download the Native American Forum Reservation Request Form from the Humboldt State University Forms page. Please complete the form with all required signatures and account information and return to CICD as soon as possible.

If your date is still available, once CICD has received and processed your completed form, and if the dates requested are still available, you will receive a confirmation email from the CICD office which will include information regarding specifics of your reservation. If the dates you requested are no longer available you will receive an email requesting a different date(s).

Off Campus Groups:

If you would like to reserve the forum and are not being co-sponsored by an on-campus group please call us.

AVAILABILITY:

The Native American Forum is available for reservations Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am to 10:00 pm and can be extended with pre-approved authorization from CICD staff to midnight.

Weekday availability in the Native American Forum changes with the academic needs of the University from semester to semester. For the Spring 2013 semester availability in the Native American Forum is: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 2:00 - 10:00 pm and Tuesday and Thursday 12:30 - 10:00 pm. The standard closing time of 10:00 pm can be extended with pre-approved authorization from CICD staff to no later than midnight.

When academic courses are not in session (Spring break, winter break, summer, campus closures and holidays) the Native American Forum is available for reservations starting at 7:00am. ALL RESERVATIONS ARE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS AND IS DETERMINED BY THE DATE YOUR CORRECTLY COMPLETED RESERVATION REQUEST FORM IS RECEIVED BY CICD STAFF.
