Leading Research into the World’s Tallest Trees

HSU’s Professor Stephen Sillett, the Kenneth L. Fisher Chair in Redwood Ecology, has rewritten the book on redwoods—the world’s tallest trees.

Our team of expert faculty have already discovered new worlds in the canopies of the mighty coast redwood and giant sequoia, but there’s much work left to be done.

That’s why the Institute for Redwood Ecology is dedicated to promoting the study of redwoods, other tall trees and forests to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and scientific research.
