Microsoft Security Updates
Make sure that Microsoft Updates is set to automatic:
Go to Start -> Run and type in "Control Panel" and double click Automatic Updates. Make sure that the Automatic (recommended) option is selected. Be sure to select a time that your computer will be running
We recommend that you run a manual update to make sure that all updates are current:
Launch an instance of Internet Explorer and from the Tools menu and select Windows Update.
If you have not previously run Windows Update, you may be prompted to install an ActiveX Control. Install the control, When the update page appears on your browser select Express.
After the update software inspects your system, a group of updates may be suggested for your computer. Install all the updates that are suggested.
If your are prompted to restart your computer, do so. After each restart, run the update process again untill no further High Priority updates are suggested.
