After Friday's Reading
Updated: 07/08/04

Before you leave Friday evening, collect your portfolios.

As you note the scores on your Batch Control Sheet (which will be attached to your portfolio batch), make sure you have all of your portfolios and only your portfolios.

Submit the ORIGINAL, intact Batch Control Sheet to Tracy's box in the English Department Office by the specified deadline—usually midday on the Saturday following the portfolio reading. Tracy will remove the course information (instructor's name, class day/time) and post portfolio results on the bulletin board in the hallway across from the English Department Office by the specified deadline—usually Saturday evening following the portfolio reading. Please do not send students to the department bulletin board for their portfolio scores until after the posted deadline. Thank you.

You may also elect to post a copy of your scores on your office door, but please be sure to provide Tracy with the official, original copy.

For all students earning E portfolios, please provide the following information to Barbara Goldberg by the specified deadline:

  • full name
  • portfolio number
  • address
  • phone number
  • student identification number

Except in the rarest of circumstances, you will know your students' portfolio scores by the end of the Adjudication Session. If, however, that rare situation arises in which the score is not resolved:

  • Please do not postpone submitting your Batch Control Sheet. Should a complication prevent you from declaring a score, write "Score Pending" next to the portfolio number in question and submit the Batch Control Sheet to Tracy by the specified deadline. You can replace that notation with the final score as soon as the dispute has been resolved.
  • Please do not postpone submitting or posting your grades because a portfolio score or grade complication. If you cannot assign a grade by the official deadline, an RD will automatically appear on the student's transcript. Once you determine a grade, you can submit a grade change form.
