Sustainability in Business

Dr. Steven Hackett (PhD Economics Texas A&M University, 1989) serves as Associate Dean of Professional Studies and Chair of the School of Business. As a faculty member, Hackett served as principal investigator, project director, lead author or senior supervising economist on numerous scholarly works, technical reports, policy studies, and regional economic development plans. He received the 2005 Scholar of the Year award at HSU for his work relating to environmental and natural resource economics, energy economics, and the economics of sustainability. Hackett's Associate Dean duties include chairing the college's Budget Advisory Committee and Sustainable Programs Initiative Committee.
