Shannon Morago - Awarded Outstanding Teacher of America

Shannon Morago of the Education Department has been selected this year to receive an Outstanding Teacher of America award, given by the Carlston Family Foundation. The Foundation solicits nominations from students, now in college, about high school teachers who changed their lives. The vetting process is extensive (interviews with former students, colleagues, administrators, and candidates themselves). It keeps getting better. The former student who nominated her is now at HSU as a chemistry major, and he will be presenting Shannon the award at a ceremony in Southern California in October.
