Equipment Available for Checkout

The following equipment may be borrowed on a semester-by-semester basis.

  • Sony handheld 2-track cassette tape recorders, adapters, and 60-minute tapes for course-related activities
  • Sony 4-track tape players if yours is being repaired or for students newly registered with Recordings for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D)
  • EIKI, APH, and Sony 4-track tape recorders for readers recording books on tape for students with disabilities
  • Charcoal-based portable air purifier for classroom and CAL use
  • Manual wheelchairs for temporary use on campus only
  • TI-83 Plus Graphing Calculator
  • Holmes portable heater for classroom use
  • Phonic Ear assistive listening device
  • Authorization keys for assistive technology use in campus computer facilities. Authorizations for JAWS (screen reading program) and MAGic (screen magnification program)

In addition to the equipment available for borrowing above, the following equipment is available for student use:

  • Telecommunication Device for the Deaf (TDD), located in the SDRC office
  • Personal assistants may be provided as needed for library research
  • Raised-Line drawing kit
