Early Assessment Program
The
Early Assessment Program (EAP) represents a collaborative effort of numerous
entities including the State Board of Education, the California Department
of Education, and the California State University. This program was established
to provide opportunities for students to measure their readiness for college-level
English and mathematics during their junior year of high school. If students
need additional support, they can then be provided opportunities during
their senior year to help ensure their college success.
The goal of the EAP program is to help California high school graduates to enter the CSU fully prepared to begin college-level study.

Education Colloquium Series
The Education Colloquium Series, established during 1999, will enter its sixth year during 2003-04. Initially conceptualized and organized by Eric Rofes, a professor in the Education Department, it was moved under the auspices of the Center during academic year 2002-03. Its primary purpose is to address cutting edge educational issues and to involve university, school, and community members in critical dialogue for ongoing improvement.
