HSU’s Emergency Management program is disappointed to have to postpone the special Red Cross Training on personal emergency preparedness and tsunami awareness. The instructor, Linda Nellist, has been deployed to North Dakota by the Red Cross to serve in the Public Information organization assigned to the flooding in Rapid City and will not be back in time to lead this class. She expresses her regrets and looks forward to presenting the material to HSU staff and faculty at another time. The training will be rescheduled for a future date.
There will be no Emergency Preparedness Committee Meeting in April. The next meeting of this group will be on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at 2:00 PM, in Nelson Hall East, room 106.
All community members are invited to a free presentation of "Living on the Faultline" to be held at the Humboldt County Library, 1313 3rd St, Eureka, on April 8, 6-9 PM. Call the Red Cross at 443-4521 to reserve a spot or for more information about this program.
