How to Apply
So environmental resources engineering sounds interesting, but you are still not sure if HSU is right for you? Explore what HSU has to offer to both freshman and transfer students.
Dr. Rich Corsi, the 1983 outstanding ERE graduate of the year, was named one of three HSU alumni of the year in 2006. Professor Corsi received the honor in recognition of his work quantifying indoor air pollution. Currently he serves as the E. C. H. Bantel Professor for Professional Practice at the University of Texas at Austin. Professor Corsi has mentored and inspired numerous students investing topics such as the volatilization of chemicals from dishwashers, showers and sinks; the desorption of chemicals from building materials, the disinfection of buildings contaminated with biological agents, and the months long off-gassing of chemicals from paints.
We always enjoy highlighting what our inspired former students have done to change the world. Please let us know when you or one your peers has done something noteworthy. Submit notable achievements to the ere_dept [at] humboldt [dot] edu (department chair) and we will post them in a timely fashion.
The ERE Messenger is a periodic newsletter published by the Environmental Resources Engineering Student Association (ERESA) providing news and views about students, staff, and alumni of the ERE program. Current and back issues are viewable here:
