Applying for the graduate program

Applying for graduate studies in the Energy Technology and Policy (ETaP) or the Environmental Resources Engineering (ERE) program involves several steps.

Step 1: Fill in the Humboldt State University application form to apply for admission on the internet through the following address: http://www.csumentor.com.  The appplication fee (currently $55) can be paid through this site using a credit card, but if you prefer to pay with a check, you should send it to the address indicated on the "csumentor.com" website.

Step 2: Arrange for submission of three letters of recommendation from people who can assess your potential as a graduate student. You should identify recommenders through the online CSU Mentor application, page 11, by entering each recommender's name and electronic mail address.  The CSU Mentor system will then send a message to the recommender with the necessary information. The letters must be submitted by the recommender (not by the applicant). Be sure to notify your recommenders in advance to expect an email message that provides information about the process for submitting the letters.

October 1 to February 1 (i.e. February 1 deadline)

Applications submitted after the filing period may be considered on a first-come, first-served basis according to space availability. A late completion fee (currently $25) may be imposed.
