Option II: Saturday, August 25 (Guests Welcome)
Come and help preserve a unique ecosystem on the North Coast where over forty beautiful flowering native plants are growing, three of which are on the Federal Endangered Species plant list. You can make a difference by volunteering to help preserve the native plants by removing destructive, non-native vegetation. We will spend the morning learning about the issues facing the dunes preserve while working with the Friends of the Dunes Society and the Manila Beach and Dunes Volunteers. Following the service project, we will enjoy lunch together before heading out for the afternoon to kayak in the sloughs of Humboldt Bay.
Program Fee (per day): $29 includes transportation, lunch, guides, instruction, and kayaking equipment.
Please Note: More detailed information will be provided upon registration.
