Facilities of the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center

Main Facility: There are three main classrooms, two conference rooms, a kitchen and a main multipurpose conference room. The classrooms will be used for many different groups including, aquatic instruction and boating safety classes, Leisure Activities and Extended Education classes. Conference and meeting space will be available for rent by campus and community groups.

Boat Storage: The fully enclosed boat storage area will house a variety of boats for program use and for rental purposes. The Center will feature a number of classes that will take place right on the bay including sea kayaking and sailing. The mission is to teach safe boating skills on Humboldt Bay.

Athletic Training Space: This space, which Includes locker rooms, will be used by the HSU crew teams for land based training.

Floating Dock Construction: A new floating dock is being planned with construction expected during the fall of 2010. This dock will feature an accessible ramp with plenty of floating dock for launching a variety of vessels.
