The Humboldt Bay Brass Band is a music ensemble in the British tradition, directed by Dr. Gil Cline of the Department of Music, Humboldt State University (HSU).

The ensemble contains 27 brass instruments and three percussionists, totaling 30 players. Players are HSU students and community members.

The musical goal is to explore brass band literature, to achieve the best possible sound, to have the proper instrumentation, and to share the music with audiences.
