2012-2013 Payment Plans + Due Dates - Annual, Semester, Monthly, Financial Aid and Financial Aid Plus plans - you will be asked to select a payment plan during the application process. This provides information on what your exact financial commitment will be, based on the payment plan you select and the room type, room location and meal plan you are assigned.
Four meal plans are offered—Green, Gold, Humboldt and Mini. A detailed explanation of the dining plans can be found in the dining website under meal plans. A resident of Redwood, Sunset, Cypress or Canyon must purchase one of the full meal plans (Green, Gold or Humboldt). The table above lists the combined room and board price.

- Onine Application for 2013-2014 Available. Students interested in returning to the residence halls can complete the housing application online at myhousing.humboldt.edu. We have limited availability for housing for returning students. Information regarding the returner application process will have been distributed in February.

- Payment Due for Monthly and Financial Aid PLUS Payment Plans. Amounts will vary according to room assignment and meal plan selected. Refer to your Student Center account for your specific payment amounts and payment due dates.
- March 10, 2013
- All Spring Housing + Dining Fees Should be Paid in Full. All residents on all payment plans must be paid in full for the spring semester in order to sign up for fall classes or order transcripts. Students not paid in full by this date will not be able to return to the halls for 2013-2014.
- March 18, 2013
- Applications and Initial Payments for 2013-2014 Due Today to Participate in New Room Selection Lottery. All residents interested in returning to the residence halls must submit their application and initial payment by midnight on March 18, 2013 in order to participate in the lottery. In order to qualify for the lottery, residents also must have paid their 2012-2013 room and board fees in full by March 10 and have a positive conduct record.

- Lottery Times Posted in MyHousing or Wait List Notices Sent. Please sign into your MyHousing account after 5pm on March 25 to see your lottery timeslot. The lottery time is listed in the Application Menu below the menu item "Room Selection." For those not included in the lottery, a wait list notice will be sent via email.

- New Room Selection Day . Residents participating in the lottery to return to the residence halls for 2013-2014 will have an assigned time to select their room for the next academic year from any available space. Room assignments for the 2013-2014 academic year are then emailed to residents by the end of May. Students will be able to sign into their MyHousing account through April 5th to make changes to their room selection. After April 5th, please contact the Housing Office to be on a wish list to move to another area.

- Last Day to Cancel Housing Application with $200 Cancellation Fee and Prorate Penalties. All cancellations will be charged the $200 cancellation fee and prorated penalties for each day of notice which was less than 30 days. Please see the Housing License Agreement for further information.

- Residence Halls Open for 2013-2014 Residents. The residence halls will open for the year at 7:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Anyone checking into the residence halls on Tuesday will have an assigned check-in time. Arriving prior to your check-in time is not advised and you will be asked to wait for your scheduled time.

- Last Day to Give Required 30 Days Notice to Vacate the Residence Halls at the End of the Fall Semester When Leaving HSU. Please stop by the Housing Office to complete a Request to Vacate Form if you are leaving HSU at the end of the fall semester. You are required to give 30 days notice to avoid penalties, and November 21 is 30 days before the end of the fall semester.
