2013-2014 Payment Plans + Due Dates - Annual, Semester, Monthly, Financial Aid and Financial Aid Plus plans - you will be asked to select a payment plan during the application process. This provides information on what your exact financial commitment will be, based on the payment plan you select and the room type, room location and meal plan you are assigned.
Four meal plans are offered—Green, Gold, Humboldt and Mini. A detailed explanation of the dining plans can be found in the dining website under meal plans. A resident of Redwood, Sunset, Cypress or Canyon must purchase one of the full meal plans (Green, Gold or Humboldt). The table above lists the combined room and board price
Important Dates for 2013-2014

- Online Application Formally Opens at 4pm for the 2013-2014 Academic Year. Online application opens at myhousing.humboldt.edu for all new students who have been admitted or provisionally admitted to the university for the 2013-2014 academic year. If you have not yet been admitted, you will not be able to access the application portion of the site until your admit status is updated in the campus system. Your HSU User Name and password will log you into your MyHousing account. To ensure your best opportunity to secure on-campus housing and to be assigned to your preferred location, you must submit the completed application and initial payment as soon as possible. Assignments are made on a first come, first served basis determined by the date the application and initial payment are received. Space is limited and we do not guarantee housing. The first 600 freshman and the first 200 transfer students to apply will be able to select their own room online in April. More information will be sent to these students in late March.

- Priority Deadline for Housing Assignments. Deadline to submit completed application and initial payment for first run of fall room assignments. Room assignments and payment plans or wait list notifications will be emailed in late May. Applications submitted after this date in April will be processed in July and room assignments and payment plans will be emailed in July and early August.

- Notification of Assignment Status . Room assignment and payment plan are emailed to those who returned their completed application and initial payment before the April 16 deadline. If all spaces have been reserved, the student will be notified of placement on a waiting list. Students are not guaranteed a space in the residence halls until a guarantee of assignment or a room assignment letter is received.

- Guarantee of assignment or wait list notices sent for those returning their application and initial payment after the April 16 deadline. A guarantee of assignment notice is for students who have submitted their completed application and initial payment and indicates a space in the residence halls is reserved for them for the academic year. If all spaces have been reserved, the student will be notified of placement on a waiting list. Students are not guaranteed a space in the residence halls until a guarantee of assignment or a room assignment letter is received.

- Last day to Cancel Application for Fall 2013 and Provide 30 Days Notice. All cancellations will be charged the cancellation fee of $200. Please note that the Housing Office must receive such requests in writing or by email to housing@humboldt.edu by July 20, 2013. Cancellations to any other university office does not satisfy the requirement to notify the Housing Office directly.

- Residence Halls Open for 2013-2014 Residents. The residence halls will open for the year at 7:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Anyone checking into the residence halls on Tuesday will have an assigned check-in time. Arriving prior to your check-in time is not advised and you will be asked to wait for your scheduled time.

- 2014-2015 Online Application Opens to Explore. Beginning February 17, students can log into the application to select their preferred living areas, meal plan, read the documents and fill out any preliminary information. Then, at 4pm on March 3, all that will be left is the payment plan selection, the initial payment, signing the license agreement and completing the application. Housing is assigned on a first come, first served basis, determined by the day you complete the application process.
