Supporting Humboldt State University
The Humboldt State University Advancement Foundation provides expertise, fiduciary oversight, and advocacy to increase charitable giving and manage the university's endowment. The Foundation Board is comprised of 17 members who are dedicated to building support for the university across a variety of constituencies and recognize the imperative to expand opportunities for philanthropic success.
The Foundation Board meets quarterly and each member serves on a committee to leverage their personal and professional experience. Founding board member Gary Blatnick currently serves as Board Chair. Blatnick graduated from Humboldt State in 1983 with an M.A. in Sociology. Today he is Director of the Del Norte County Health and Human Services Departments. Humboldt State University President Rollin Richmond stated that "Gary's passion for the university and professional experience ideally suits him to assume the leadership mantle of the Foundation's Board."
