North Coast Request for Proposals (RFP) Now Available!

On behalf of the California Ocean Science Trust, California Ocean Protection Council, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, and California Sea Grant, we are pleased to release the North Coast Marine Protected Areas (MPA) Baseline Program Request for Proposals (RFP). The RFP, along with other important resources, can be downloaded from Sea Grant's website, or via the North Coast MPA Baseline Program page on OceanSpaces.org. Print copies of the RFP are also available at several distribution sites throughout the North Coast region.

North Coast Baseline Program Summary of Community Discussion Sessions

Posted as a courtesy to the MPA Monitoring Enterprise: In February, the Monitoring Enterprise hosted a series of informal “Discussion Sessions” throughout the North Coast to help further inform the North Coast Baseline Program (Crescent City, February 19; Eureka, February 20; Fort Bragg, February 21). Marine Protected Areas of the North Coast: Mendocino Stakeholders Open Forum

 

An open forum was held at the Caspar Community Center in Caspar, CA on Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 1:00-5:00pm.

Facilitating the forum was John Reiss, Professor of Biological Sciences and Interim Director of the HSU Marine Facilities and Rhea Williamson, Dean of Research.

The forum included a faculty panel with breakout sessions for individual proposals.  The agenda, presentation, and minutes from the forum are posted here.
