Woodstra, Humboldt State head coach and assistant coach for the U.S. Olympic Women’s Indoor Volleyball Team, recently helped lead Team USA back to the medal stand for the first time in 16 years. As part of the HSU China & Tibet Field Studies Program, nine students will leave for the vast expanses of the Tibetan Plateau on September 8. This global outreach program has been offered by the HSU Geography Department since 2000 and more than 80 students have taken advantage of this unusual opportunity to explore and document rarely seen parts of the world.
