The Artistic and Cultural Hub of California's North Coast

At Humboldt State you can watch a masterful ballet performance, catch an edgy punk band and marvel at world-class acrobats.

But if being a spectator simply doesn't cut it for you, this is definitely your place. Grab an instrument and join an impromptu jam session on the Art Quad. Wait for the perfect light and photograph a dazzling sunset at Moonstone Beach. Study jewelry making, learn graphic design or cast bronze sculptures in the West Coast's largest foundry. Our students create plenty of their own art, music and entertainment.

Students also manage art exhibitions at locations across campus and learn installation techniques at our two professional galleries. In fact, we're the only CSU campus to offer an undergraduate certificate in Museum and Gallery Practices.

Along with faculty mentoring, it's real-world experience like this that helps our students win awards and fellowships and, most importantly, launch successful careers.
